General
St Paul’s is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and qualified PE Teacher to join our Senior School team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality Physical Education curriculum, fostering a lifelong love of sport and physical activity in our students. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated educator to inspire students, support extracurricular sporting initiatives, and contribute to the broader life of the school through leadership in physical wellbeing and sport.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the Senior School curriculum and the school’s PE policy.
Ensure that teaching and learning are of the highest standard, providing engaging, challenging, and inclusive experiences for all students.
Stay informed about current developments in PE and school sport, incorporating new ideas and initiatives where appropriate.
Promote participation in sport across the school by supporting and organising house and inter-school competitions.
Facilitate opportunities for students to engage in physical activities both within and outside the school environment.
Maintain accurate records of student participation, performance, and progress, in accordance with school policy.
Review and update schemes of work to ensure a rich, progressive, and inclusive curriculum.
Serve as a mentor and role model for best practice, supporting the development of fellow staff through coaching and collaboration.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and holistic student development.
Commit to the safeguarding and welfare of all students, adhering to school policies at all times.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, trips, events, and other co-curricular activities.
Engage actively in professional development and performance management processes.
Perform any additional duties as reasonably directed by the Principal or line manager.
Oversee the development and well-being of pupils through the school pastoral system.

Job requirements
Degree in Physical Education or related field.
Valid teaching qualification and registration with CREF.
Proven experience teaching PE, ideally in a Senior or Secondary School setting.
Fluent in English.
