We are seeking well-qualified, enthusiastic committed and inspirational Prep School class teachers (Key Stage 1 and/or 2). Potential candidates should have the necessary educational qualifications (PGCE from the UK/Pedagogia from a Brazilian University) as well as experience of working with children within this age range and some experience of teaching the full range of subjects taught at primary level. Creativity and a child centred approach are expected.
All teachers should demonstrate a full commitment to the life of the school and are encouraged to pursue both their own professional development, as well as have an aspiration to help the school continue to develop and extend its reputation for excellence.
An outline of the role
The role of the teacher at St Paul’s is to promote at all times and in every possible way the pupils’ intellectual and social development and learning, including independent learning skills. This role develops according to the age group, for which the head of year may give appropriate guidance.
